It’s Chinese To Me: Why You Might Not Want to Tattoo Yourself in A Foreign Language

Undeniably, Chinese script is beautiful. If you take a look at the subject of a lot of popular tattoos, you will find Chinese characters worked into to many of them. But if you are to look closer, you may be surprised at what the true translation of many of the Chinese-scripted tattoos actually mean. Some people inked with the Chinese language may have ended up with a different message than what they had intended.

The blog, Hanzi Smatter translates people's ink and explains how the tattoos often either misuse Chinese characters or simply create phrases that are completely incorrect. Sadly, the result is some truly odd body art.

To take a look at some truly bad (and funny) tattoos with Chinese script, click on the following link:

Do you have a tattoo that you question its true translation? Don’t worry, even bad tattoos don’t have to be permanent. A few sessions with a Quanta USA laser, and a bad tattoo is ancient history.
