3 Things About Laser Tattoo Removal You Didn't Know

There's a lot of concern and chatter over laser tattoo removal as generations of tattoo lovers consider the changes in their lives and the wisdom of some body art choices. Amid the confusion, one fact remains crystal clear - today's laser tattoo removal systems are far superior to anything that has come before. If you're still wondering about laser removal however, here are 3 reasons to have it done now.

Good Studios Have Laser Cooling Systems
As a relatively new technology, cooling systems are not widely used by many tattoo studios. The device allows a laser removal technician to keep the skin around the removal area cooler and therefore less prone to damage or pain during the laser process. If you're unsure about the process, ask your technician at Inflicting Ink for more information about their cooling unit and how they use it in conjunction with their state of the art Quanta Q Plus C and T laser removal system.

Some Tattoos Disappear Faster Than Others
Various elements like pigment, skin tone, and even whether you smoke or not can have an effect on how long your tattoo takes to fade. Of course size is important too, but with the current laser technology, even the deeper tattoo colors can be removed easily in less sessions.

It's More Affordable Now Than Ever
Because today's lasers work faster and release darker pigments just as easily as light ones, if you can afford to get a tattoo, you can afford to have one removed. Most studios also offer very convenient payment options on a session-by-session basis. Remember a gift certificate is a great option if you know someone who would like to have a tattoo removed and want to give it to them as a gift.

What qualifications should I look for in a laser tattoo removal technician?

Laser Tattoo Removal

The fact is, laser tattoo removal is on the rise. As the job market becomes smaller and more selective people tend to see their tattoos as detrimental to gaining employment. Not to say that this is the only reason someone may opt to have an unwanted tattoo removed by any means, but if the media is anything to go by, the decrease in available work is at least partially responsible for the increase in laser tattoo removal.

So what should you be looking for in your laser removal technician?

Obviously, you're going to use some of the same criteria that you would use if you were shopping around for a tattoo artist or studio. You want a clean, sterile facility with certified technicians operating the laser. This is fairly standard in laser removal. Anyone operating the machine should have certification either by the company who manufactured the machine, or by a reputable laser certification program.

You will also want to make sure that the facility is using state-of-the-art equipment.

While an old machine might be a less expensive experience, the newer laser removal machines have special features and up-to-date laser systems that can remove all of the pigments in your tattoo, often in fewer treatments than ever before.

Finally, make sure that you've seen the results of the studio's previous work.

Just in the same way that you wouldn't allow a tattoo artist to ink your skin without seeing proof of their ability, the same conditions should be applied to the laser tattoo removal search. Ask to see before and after photos, question the amount of time each tattoo took and in comparison how long yours might take, discuss the total cost involved, and whether the studio offers payment plans (most do), and ask for testimonials from other clients. Remember to ask the technician about possible side effects or things that can go wrong in your removal and to take proper care of the removal site as instructed.

If you want to have the best possible laser tattoo removal experience, you need to contact Inflicting Ink and arrange for a consultation. Not only do they use the most advanced laser system, the Quanta Q Plus C and T; which removes all pigments in fewer treatments, they also use a skin cooling system to make the process as painless as possible.

3 Things You Need to Know Before You Get a Tattoo

Tattoo lovers come in all shapes and sizes. Like all forms of art, what one person finds perfect, another may see as unbearable. There are some aspects of getting a tattoo that are universal however, and that should be sought after and understood by anyone seeking some ink.

Quality of the Studio Matters

We've all heard horror stories about people getting bad tattoos, backyard tattoo parties, biker tattoo parties, and basically any unsanitary, non-sterile situation where people have gotten tattooed. Most of these situations involve alcohol as well; which when combined with the non-sterile environment places them at the top of the "Don't Do" list for getting a tattoo. While getting a tattoo in less-than-optimum environment won't absolutely guarantee you get a bad tattoo or heaven forbid, a serious infection, it would simply be wiser to opt-out of these kinds of situations entirely and visit a reputable, licensed, sterile tattoo facility instead.

Bring Your Own Artwork or Idea

Yes, tattoo studios have books and books of artwork already available for you, but do you really want something that potentially hundreds, even thousands of people are already wearing? Isn't the purpose of getting the tattoo to mark something special about your life? You don't need a professional or to pay someone to draw you something, but have a good idea of what you want, be able to describe it, or have a picture handy to give the artist something to go on. A good tattoo artists will be able to help you refine your artwork before they ink you anyway. Remember also that tattoos look larger on paper. Once they're applied to your skin the perspective will change a bit so choose something slightly larger than you would normally to compensate.

All Tattoos Can Be Removed

The days of people using salt or creams are reaching an end. Unless you'd simply like to cover your tattoo temporarily, there is no reason for you to put-off laser tattoo removal for unwanted body art. The prices are affordable, the new Quanta Q-Plus Lasers take out every spectrum of ink, and professional tattoo studios typically offer skin cooling procedures to keep the pain under control.

Whether you need to free up some space for a new tattoo, or are simply looking to get rid of an old one, laser tattoo removal is the best option available.
